FREE Home Buyers Kit

You’ll save time. I can help you pinpoint homes that fit your needs and dismiss those that don’t. You’ll get the right information. As a Sales Representative I know the neighbourhoods and will provide you with accurate information on market conditions, values, taxes, utility costs, services and amenities. You benefit from an experienced negotiator who is representing your interests. I will manage your offers and counter-offers, ensuring that you get the best possible price for your home.

As a FIRST TIME HOME BUYER you have a few programs that you can take advantage of to save you thousands of dollars.  Here are the three programs that can apply to you and links to get more information regarding them;

Property Transfer Tax – as a first time buyer you are exempt from paying this tax IF you qualify under certain criteria. Here is a link to the government program that explains how it works and criteria you have to follow to be exempt.

Tax Credit – As a first time buyer you are able to claim up to $5000 in home buying expenses on your next tax return. Check out this website for all the details and how you can claim this on your next tax return.

Home Buyers Plan – This one is geared around RRSP’s and withdrawing money tax free for the purpose of buying your first home. You can withdraw up to $25,000, you just have to have it paid back within a certain time frame. Here is the criteria around the program, I always suggest talking to your financial planner and accountant to find out how you can get the most out of this. You might be able to save more money opening an RRSP before you put it towards a new home.
